HILTON HEAD, S.C. / Aug. 21, 2019 – It’s back and it’s better than ever: the 2019 Weichert Golf & Tennis Tournament hosted by Weichert, Realtors® – Coastal Properties.
And this year’s charity event, benefiting Family Promise of Beaufort County, will take place at Wexford Plantation in Hilton Head.
Golfers will have a chance to play Wexford’s Signature Course, designed by golf legend Arnold Palmer, while others spend the day returning serves on the tennis courts.
While doing so, each group will be supporting one of the area’s most popular fundraising events taking place Monday, October 21.
“We’re so excited to be able to raise funds for an amazing non-profit organization here in our community, Family Promise of Beaufort County,” said Karen Ryan, the broker/co-owner of Weichert, Realtors® – Coastal Properties. “We’re also looking forward to hosting our annual golf outing at a venue that features a world-class golf course designed by one of the greatest golfers of all time.”
Since its inception in 2007, the annual golf and tennis outing organized by the South Carolina Weichert® affiliate has raised over $140,000. Proceeds from the event have benefited local charities over the years.
“We are delighted to see the continued growth of this fundraising event,” added Ryan. “The players and sponsors that make this event successful each year are excited for its return. And why not? Who wouldn’t enjoy spending time on an Arnold Palmer-designed golf course while raising money for a local charity?”
Golf registration opens at 8:30 a.m. followed by a shotgun start at 9:30 a.m. Tennis players can begin registering at 12 noon before taking the courts at 12:30 p.m. Afterwards, participants can boast about the fun they had this year during the event’s awards banquet and silent auction at the Wexford Clubhouse.
