HAPEVILLE, Ga. / Aug. 16, 2018 – Liz Kennedy never imagined she’d be on a hit cable TV show when she started working part-time in real estate.
But that’s exactly what happened on August 15.
Kennedy, who recently retired from teaching after 26 years to work full-time at Weichert, Realtors® – The Piedmont Sky Group in Hapeville, appeared in the August 15 episode of HGTV’s hit series, Flipping Virgins.
“I’ve been a fan of Flipping Virgins for years, but I never dreamed I’d one day be a part of the show – even after I got my real estate license,” said Kennedy, who represented an East Point homebuyer in the episode. “I almost passed out when I heard I was picked to be a part of Season 3.”
Kennedy’s interest in the show lead her to apply online for a chance to be a part of Flipping Virgins Season 3. Something she thought was a long shot.
“I’m sure I’m not the only real estate agent that’s dreamed about being on one of these house buying fixer-up shows,” added Kennedy, an Atlanta resident. “You just never think it would really happen.”
Her appearance on Flipping Virgins was not only a dream come true, it seemed to be the only thing her family, friends and co-workers could talk about with Kennedy in the days leading up to the show.
“I don’t know who was more excited to see the show air: Liz or those of us who work here with her,” said Chris Hough, the broker/owner of Weichert, Realtors® – The Piedmont Sky Group. “An opportunity like this could not have happened to a nicer person or an even better real estate agent.”
