HUNTSVILLE, Ala. / Nov. 22, 2019 – Weichert, Realtors® – The Space Place, located in Huntsville, was honored to place wreaths at the gravesites of former members of the U.S. military on Veterans Day.
The team of agents from the Weichert® affiliate volunteered to lay thousands of wreaths, which they helped prepare during the city’s annual Veterans Day Week celebration this year, at Maple Hill Cemetery in Huntsville.
“Veterans sacrificed so much to help protect our country, and we can’t thank them enough for their service,” said Brenda Elliott, the broker/owner of Weichert, Realtors® – The Space Place. “Placing wreaths at their graves was done to honor all that they have done to keep us safe.”
Elliott also noted the high population of retired military personnel and their family members in the Huntsville area as a reason to honor the sacrifices made by veterans.
“We’re blessed to have so many retired military families who live and work here in the area, including a lot of the team here at Weichert, Realtors® – The Space Place,” added Elliott, who is also a retired military wife. “They’re a constant reminder of how grateful we are to live in the greatest country in the world.”
