Weichert, Realtors® – Barton Harris & Co. Volunteers At Community First Village
AUSTIN, Texas / Nov. 18, 2019 – Weichert, Realtors® – Barton Harris & Co., located in Austin and Cedar Park, was honored to spend a day recently helping an amazing local non-profit organization.
The Weichert® affiliate, known for turning its clients’ dreams of homeownership into reality, spent the day on November 5 helping men and women who were once homeless with a host of activities at a place they now call home: Community First Village.
“It was both an honor and a privilege to spend the day working alongside the men and women who are proud to call Community First Village their home,” said Bart Harris, the broker/owner of Weichert, Realtors® – Barton Harris & Co. “Some of them have overcome so much in life and consider the opportunity to live at Community First Village a blessing.”
Community First Village is a 51-acre master planned community in Austin that provides affordable, permanent housing and a supportive community for men and women coming out of chronic homelessness.
The team from Weichert, Realtors® – Barton Harris & Co. assisted with a host of activities at the village – including cleaning around the sprawling complex, helping residents pick out furniture and hanging Christmas decorations. Agents also helped a person move into their new residence at Community First Village.
“We deeply believe in giving back as much as we can to the communities we serve – especially when it gives us a chance to help those in need,” added Harris. “This was our first time volunteering at Community First Village and we would be honored to do it again.”
