NORMAN, Okla. / Nov. 17, 2017 – Drive around a residential neighborhood and there’s a good chance you’ll pass a lawn sign or two for an upcoming open house. It’s a calling card for REALTORS.
Lawn signage is also what helped a pair of real estate agents at Weichert, Realtors® – Centennial invite folks to a rather unusual, yet festive, type of open house event recently.
“We thought people would get a kick out of seeing us do something different with this open house,” said Lauren O’Sullivan, who co-listed the property with Mitch Biesemeyer. Both agents work at Weichert, Realtors® – Centennial in Norman. “So we decided to do a trick-or-treat open house event on Halloween night instead. And judging by the foot traffic and feedback we got, the event was a success.”
Dozens of visitors – many with kids dressed in Halloween costumes – stopped by to check out the 4-bedroom, 3-bath 2,700 sq. foot custom-built home located in the gorgeous Hallbrooke addition in East Norman. Trick-or-treaters were surprised with candy as they passed through each room in the house, and the agents cooked and served hot dogs for the families.
The real estate agency also teamed up with First American Title Co. in Moore, Oklahoma to give away a $30 HeyDay Entertainment gift card for the best costume at the open house. The winner was a young woman dressed as a Southern belle.
