Weichert, Realtors® – Property Hunters is operated by owner Josh Cormier, who comes from another well-known, competing brokerage in the area. The company opened its doors in February and is ready to help area residents with their real estate needs.
After several years of working for another brokerage, Cormier felt it was the right time to start his own company. He felt brokerages in the area did not offer the level of quality and service that he felt were needed. He was attracted to Weichert, not only because of it’s signature, attention-getting yellow branding, but its solid reputation and history of success. “I knew I wanted to be part of a franchise, but I was seeking a solid brand that was not already in Boise,” said Cormier. “Though Weichert was not well-known in this area, it is very well known in other areas of the country. The more I learned about its history of innovation and the tools and resources available to service clients and support agents, the more I knew this was exactly what I had been looking for.” Cormier added, “I’m excited for the opportunity to bring the Weichert brand to the state of Idaho.”
Cormier notes that it’s an unusual time to start a new business, but he is up for the challenge. He is thankful for his affiliation with Weichert, because it has provided him with the coaching and network of support needed to help navigate such challenging times.
Cormier lives in Boise. He is a member of the Boise Regional Realtors (BRR), Idaho Realtors (IR) and the National Association of Realtors (NAR). He also hosts a web series that features unique and exceptional properties called “This Funky House”, thisfunkyhouse.com. He got his first big success in real estate as a young agent, still waiting tables to make ends meet. He waited on a customer who was impressed enough with Josh’s customer service and engaging personality to connect him with a ranch owner in the area who was interviewing listing agents to sell the property. Josh ultimately won the listing for 6 lots and just closed the 10th side from that meeting. When asked about his vision for the future, Cormier replied, “I look forward to building a high-quality, full-service brokerage that agents and clients can count on.”
