HILTON HEAD, S.C. / Nov. 17, 2017 – With the season of giving just around the corner, it’s never too early to think about helping those in need. And that’s what Weichert, Realtors® – Coastal Properties had in mind when they recently reached out to the non-profit group Second Helpings.
The Weichert® affiliate is partnering with Second Helpings this holiday season to collect non-perishable food items to support the group’s “FILL THE NEED” campaign, which was kicked off last month at the Palmetto Breeze hub station in Bluffton. Second Helpings is a food rescue and distribution network that works to eliminate hunger in the Lowcountry.
“It truly is an honor to be able to partner with an amazing organization like Second Helpings to help those in need in the Lowcountry,” said Karen Ryan, the co-owner/broker of Weichert, Realtors® – Coastal Properties, which has offices in Hilton Head, Bluffton, Beaufort and Sun City/Okatie. “Our offices are ready to do whatever they can to help collect food for those in need this holiday season.”
Area residents and businesses are encouraged to drop off non-perishable food items, such as canned vegetables, soups and meats, packages of pasta, rice and beans, boxed meals, as well as jars of peanut butter and jelly, to any of the Weichert affiliate offices below during regular business hours. Weichert, Realtors® – Coastal Properties will deliver the donated food items each week to the Palmetto Breeze hub station for distribution.
