AUBURN, Ala., / May 16, 2019 – Weichert, Realtors® – Porter Properties, located in Auburn, is pleased to announce that it received three prestigious awards from the Lee County Association of Realtors (LCAR).
With nearly 500 Realtor members in LCAR, it is especially impressive that Weichert, Realtors® – Porter Properties won three of the four awards, which were presented during the association’s annual gala and fundraiser. The event was held April 25 in the Tiger Walk Club at Jordan Hare Stadium of Auburn University.
Broker Stacey Sanders received the Jack M. Dunlop Service Award, given in honor of the association’s former president, Jack M. Dunlop. Sanders received the award for her outstanding service to the real estate industry on a local, state and national level, and 20 years of continuous membership in the LCAR. Sanders has professional experience in nearly every facet of the real estate industry. Two-time LCAR Realtor of the Year, Sanders has served on or chaired nearly every committee in LCAR as well as in all other capacities on the LCAR Board. Extending beyond the local region, Sanders has gone on to represent and advocate for Realtors across the state of Alabama. She currently serves as President of the Alabama Association of Realtors, a 16,000-plus member organization.
Realtor Martha Shepherd was presented with association’s Good Neighbor Award, which is awarded to an LCAR member who demonstrates outstanding service to the community. As the President of Village Friends, a nonprofit service to Lee County seniors who choose to “age in place,” Shepherd has tirelessly grown the program on a volunteer basis over the past eight years. Through Village Friends, Shepherd creates a real sense of community that nurtures relationships, cares for others and fosters a spirit of volunteerism.
Realtor Yvette Lowe was named the Rookie of the Year by the Lee County Association of Realtors. The award is based on sales production, local board activities, civic activities, and education and training courses completed by a Realtor who has been licensed for two years or less. Lowe has hit the ground running in her real estate career, while diving in to serve on local board committees, serving as an Auburn Chamber Diplomat, acquiring an ABR designation, and graduating from Lee County Leadership Class of 2019.
