She comes from a teaching background, having spent nine years as an elementary school teacher at the Toronto Catholic District School Board in Canada.
Chun also attended university in Canada, graduating with distinction with an Honors Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Toronto, as well as a Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Western Ontario.
Chun currently resides in Slingerlands, New York.
