Weichert® Affiliate’s Annual Golf & Tennis Event Benefits Family Promise of Beaufort County
HILTON HEAD, S.C. / Oct. 5, 2018 – It’s not every day that golfers get a chance to play on an Arnold Palmer Signature golf course.
The rare occasion is even more special when it comes with a chance to help a local charity.
And that’s what made this year’s golf and tennis tournament hosted by Weichert, Realtors® – Coastal Properties at Wexford Plantation so special.
“Golfers couldn’t wait to play on a world-class course designed by one of the greatest golfers of all time,” said Karen Ryan, the broker/co-owner of Weichert, Realtors® – Coastal Properties.” “They were also excited to help us raise funds for an amazing non-profit organization here in our community.”
Proceeds from the Weichert® affiliate’s September 10 golf and tennis tournament – which eclipsed $13,000 – benefited Family Promise of Beaufort County, a non-profit group that provides temporary shelter, family stability and permanent housing solutions for homeless families with children.
Since its inception in 2007, the annual golf and tennis outing organized by the South Carolina Weichert® affiliate has raised close to $150,000. Proceeds from the event have benefited various local charities over the years.
“We’re delighted to see the continued growth of this fundraising event,” added Ryan. “And we can’t thank the volunteers enough who helped organize this event and our event sponsors for their support.”
