Weichert, Realtors® – Premier Fundraising Helps Support Post-Game Celebration

Weichert, Realtors® – Premier sold hot dogs and other ballpark snacks to raise money for this year’s Little League Challenger Division post-game party.

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. / Oct. 6, 2017 – It didn’t matter who won the game, both teams were ready to party.
And like the hundreds of players from previous Little League Challenger exhibition games, the kids from Freehold Township, New Jersey and Riverside, Rhode Island involved in this year’s exhibition game would enjoy an amazing post-game celebration.
The Little League Challenger Division is a branch of Little League Baseball for boys and girls with physical and developmental challenges.
The Aug. 26 post-game festivities were organized by local volunteers and businesses from the area, like Weichert, Realtors® – Premier in Williamsport, donated funds to cover party costs.
The Weichert® affiliate could be found at their hot dog stand located at the Williamsport Welcomes The World festival in downtown Williamsport in the days leading up to the game raising funds for the party. The company also made a personal donation, which helped bring the amount they’ve raised over the years close to $12,000.
“We have so much fun being a part of the Little League Challenger’s championship weekend each year,” said Chris Pardee, the company’s broker/owner. “Seeing the faces of these amazing young people light up when they step on to the playing field is something you’ll never forget. We also get the honor of seeing them laugh and enjoy the party after the game. That’s what inspires us to do this every year.”
Pardee and his team have already pledged to support next year’s celebration, which immediately caught the attention of Little League Challenge Division organizers.
“The support that we’ve gotten from Chris Pardee and Marcy Benson over the years has been nothing short of amazing,” said Steve Moff, whose two disabled children played in the very first Challenger exhibition game back in the ‘90s. “We can’t thank them enough for their support or the other businesses that donated money and food for this year’s party.”
Contributions for this year’s baseball party came from other Williamsport-area businesses including Kellogg’s, Joe’s Pizza, Vinnie’s Pizza, Eder’s Ice Cream, Rupert’s Specialty Meats, Sub-Way on the Golden Strip, and the Pennsylvania College of Technology.
