BELLINGHAM, Wash. / Jan. 5, 2018 — Weichert, Realtors® – Vanson Associates is proud to announce that Michelle Dekoekkoek has been named a finalist for the 2017 Rookie of the Year award presented by the Whatcom County Association of REALTORS. Dekoekkoek is a real estate agent at the Weichert® affiliate, which has offices in Bellingham and Maple Falls.
The Rookie of the Year will be selected at the 110th Whatcom County Association of REALTORS installation and awards banquet on Jan. 12 at the Four Points by Sheraton Hotel & Conference Center in Bellingham.
“I’m honored and extremely touched to be nominated as a finalist for this prestigious award by my local real estate association,” said Dekoekkoek. “This recognition would not have been possible, however, without the support I’ve received from my colleagues here in the office and the resources provided by Weichert, which help me create memorable experiences for my clients.”
Dekoekkoek also believes she has benefitted tremendously from being a part of an association that strives to improve the reputation of real estate professionals locally.
“I made it a priority to attend as many of the networking and learning opportunities sponsored by our county association last year,” added Dekoekkoek, who lives in Everson. “These are great ways to connect with other REALTORS and learn from industry experts.”
Dekoekkoek has been a member of the Whatcom County Association of REALTORS since 2016. She began working at Weichert, Realtors® – Vanson Associates the same year as part of a team of knowledgeable agents, which brings many years of combined real estate expertise to its clients.
