AUSTIN, Texas / March 23, 2020 – Weichert, Realtors® – Barton Harris & Co., located in Austin and Cedar Park, was honored to once again spend a day helping an amazing local non-profit organization.
A team of agents from the Weichert® affiliate spent the day on March 3 helping men and women who were once homeless with a host of activities at a place they now call home: Community First Village.
“It continues to be an honor and a privilege to spend the day working alongside the men and women who are proud to call Community First Village their home,” said Bart Harris, the broker/owner of Weichert, Realtors® – Barton Harris & Co. “Some of them have overcome so much in life and consider the opportunity to live at Community First Village a blessing.”
Community First Village is a 51-acre master planned community in Austin that provides affordable, permanent housing and a supportive community for men and women coming out of chronic homelessness.
The team of real estate agents assisted with a host of activities at the village – including cleaning around the sprawling complex and helping residents pick out furniture.
“We deeply believe in giving back as much as we can to the communities we serve – especially when it gives us a chance to help those in need,” added Harris. “We were excited to come back to Community First Village to lend a helping hand and we would be honored to do it again next year.”
