MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. / Nov. 9, 2020 —Monica Riga has officially been named co-owner and president of Weichert, Realtors® – Southern Coast. Riga, who has been with the company for over 16 years, has served as general manager and broker-in-charge since 2008.
“I’m very excited to continue a great partnership with Monica as she jumps into her new role as co-owner and president,” said Scott Jackson, the primary owner of Weichert, Realtors® – Southern Coast. “Our success as a company has largely been shaped by Monica’s dedication, hard work and leadership over the last 16 years.”
Riga and Jackson helped build Weichert, Realtors® – Southern Coast into one of the top performing affiliates within the Weichert® national franchise network. The company was one of only 30 – out of over 250 – in the Weichert® network to be named to the prestigious Premier Client Group (PCG) for 2020, which is based on sales performance from the prior year.

Riga joined Weichert, Realtors® – Southern Coast in 2004 as an agent, before quickly working her way up to sales manager in 2006. Just two short years later, she was named general manager and broker-in-charge. “The Weichert® family is truly something special to be a part of,” commented Riga. “From [president] Bill Scavone, to [regional director] Bill Scott, to [regional service manager] Sarah Apicella, and everybody else in between, the continual support and willingness to offer help and advice has been absolutely amazing.”
